How can my company help provide clean water for Liberia?The Last Well has partnered with Living Water International and all checks should be made payable to Living Water International . To which organization should contributions be made?Checks should be made out to Living Water International with “ The Last Well ” or “ The Last Well /DC Gala” written in the memo line. What is The Last Well Movement? How can I learn more about them?The Last Well is a partner organization of Living Water International . Our primary focus is to provide clean water to an entire nation, border-to-border in the name of Jesus. We have selected the entire African nation of Liberia and our goal is to complete the project in the next five years. Is Living Water International the only organization targeting Liberia?No, Living Water International is not the only organization targeting Liberia. However, Living Water International has had some of the most success in bring clean water in the name of Jesus Christ to the people of Africa.Where does my donation go? How much of my donation will reach Liberia?100% of all donations go directly to Living Water International (LWI), who will direct those funds to building and repairing wells in Liberia. As with all LWI projects, 80% of these funds will be used in the actual construction of wells and the remainder used for administrative expenses associated with running an international charity. No part of your donation will go towards the expenses associated with climbing Mt. Elbrus. Each climber is independently contributing more than $5,000 personally to cover expedition expenses.Is my donation tax deductible?Living Water International is exempt from federal income taxes under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and is classified as a public charity under 509(a)(1) and 170(b)(1)(A)(vi). Your donation is tax deductible to the full extent of the law. If you elect to participate in the 2008 Living Water International Washington, DC Gala, you must deduct the value of the food served.How much does it cost to drill a well? How many people will be helped?On average, it costs US $10,000 to drill a new well and US $5,000 to refurbish an existing well.
